How ungracious I was yesterday after all your brilliant work. I was so anxious and overwrought beforehand – not entirely one to the appointment - that I had difficulty in responding immediately. In the cool light of today however, I can view the treatment more calmly and express my approval and appreciation more coherently. It is truly a marked improvement.
Though we talked of the practical considerations yesterday we are both tacitly well aware of the emotional dimensions to your job – especially the work you undertook on me. Whilst I value hugely your technical skill and expertise, your sensitivity and honesty are just as important from my point of view. Otherwise I should never have come at all.
